Naming A Painting Business

I am starting a new painting business. I am searching for a business name that honors God outside of the ordinary names.

    Well, God is not ordinary so you must mean usual. And His name is who He is so His name honors Him.

    Ok..enough preaching.

    YOu may need to clarify what you'll be painting. Houses? Portraits? Woodwork? Bridges?

    I'm not trying to be a smart Alec here, it's just that, well, to your clients, it will matter.

    As to your requirement to honour God, bear in mind that not all your potential clients will share your beliefs, which may limit your ability to win new customers.

    As for a name, well if you offer more information on what you'll be painting, it will give us more to go on. To you it might be obvious, but not to me.

    Hi JRoberts,

    It is always difficult to determine a good company name when starting a business. Did General Electric think when they started that many years later they would describe themselves on their website in the following way?

    From jet engines to power generation, financial services to security, medical imaging to ecomagination, news & information, GE is imagination at work.

    Think about how your customers perceive you and where your business will be in five, ten and thirty year’s time.

    Write out what your services are, then list the type of customers you are targeting. When you have identified your customer go out and ask them what they would describe a painting and decorating business as.

    From the information received determine at least three names and then go out again and ask those who you think would buy your services what the think the various names.

    There is nothing like a bit of primary research!

    You may pick up some bookings at the same time!
