Know-How Exchange : E-Marketing

I have an iPhone app that is currently selling. It is a flashcard type application. The app depends on the submissions of users who can share and, soon, even sell their content within the app to other users. I believe that I can grow the user base by creating an affiliate style commission or sales type promotional system within the app and website. But I have had very little success attracting the help I need to develop the idea. Any suggestions on how to attract a marketing individual/partner that can help design and promote this affiliate idea? I am not afraid to admit this; I am not a good salesman for my own product, sure, I can demo it to someone and sell it based on what I believe are its inherent qualities, but I cannot mass sell it. This is the problem! So any ideas on how to find the type of individual that can counter my weakness and help this product succeed.
