Movie Theater B2b Strategy

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am working on a marketing research class project. The research is consumer analysis of movie theaters. My area of focus is B2B analysis of movie theaters. I am struggling to find anything on statistics of using business video conferencing at movie theaters and overall statistics of B2B users of movie theaters. I need more detailed analysis of geography and demographics of movie theater B2B targets.

Any direction on some public articles/reports? Has Marketing profs used movie theaters as a venue to conduct virtual seminars/conferences?

Since you're having trouble finding theatres that do this (as did I in a brief search), start with the vendors that make equipment that enable video conferencing, and find where they've installed them. That'll lead you to theatres, and from there can ask for some statistics of them directly.

    Dear mason.williams,

    This might help you: https://www.agocg.ac.uk/brief/vc.htm

    as might this:

The bigger problem for movie theatres might be the spread of services such as www.GoToMeeting.com, www.webex.com , and
    www.gotomeeting.com.

The thinking more and more on the parts of people that need these services is "Why bother going to a movie theatre when this can all be done over the Internet and in the comfort of one's own office or facility?"

Movie theatres may find it difficult to come up with a decent answer to this—regardless of the facilities they may offer. And frankly, free popcorn isn't enough of an incentive. And broken seats or sticky floors may also be a turn off.

Anyway, I hope this helps in some way.
