You've missed the most important criterion of all: The topic should be something that is of real interest to you.

You're going to be expending a lot of time and energy on this, and if you don't feel passionate about what you're doing, it's going to show in your work. Don't do that to yourself.

Because we don't know what your passion is, it's pretty difficult for us to help you figure out what dissertation topics you might want to consider. The few hints you've dropped are still very general, and the best topic will be quite specific.

Do you have any particular industry that you plan to work in after you get your MBA? Is there a family business that might be able to benefit from what you learn in writing your dissertation? Is there a particular geographic area or market segment that really interests you?

The more precise you can be about what turns you on, the better we'll be able to help you zero in on a great topic.
