Titles, particularly in marketing, vary based on the company. What one company calls a brand manager, another may call a brand strategist, where another may just call a marketing manager.

    Two possible solutions:
    1) see if you can find people with these titles and talk to them about what they are. Best to do it for a few different companies, so you can start seeing how titles vary so much.

    2) if you don't know anyone, nor can find anyone, the next option would be to search for job openings of these titles. Job postings generally list job duties and requirements, so you can see what people with that title are expected to be like. Because it is just for academic purposes, you don't need to just search your local job sites, but instead can go to the big sites (hotjobs.com, monster.com, etc.) and also try just googling the terms brand manager" and "brand strategist"
