We Want To Organise A Free Webinar: How?

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
We want to host a free informative webinar for our clients & prospects.

We expect no more than 100 participants, maybe even as few as 20. Only: we have no idea what software to use. Do we have to install this on our own server? Are there free online solutions?

We have TeamViewer and Mikogo installed locally (not on servers, but on our PC's in office) is this a viable option, or will this cause trouble with lag and such?

Thanks, Gary. I might have not worded my question carefully enough.

"Have you used a few alternatives to WebEx and GotoMeeting and or Zoho Meeting and how do they compare?" might have been a better way to put it.

I've only used WebEx and GoToWebinar. WebEx is great but pretty pricey. GoToWebinar does pretty much the same thing but I believe it costs $99 a month and can take up to 1000 participants. Very user friendly.

For the conference call component we used Spiderphone, which did the job nicely.

    Hope this helps.

I use GoToWebinar, costs $406 per month - it's good, but pretty basic. I run it in conjunction with a custom built video server so my attendee's can see video as well as just desktop share. I have heard good things about a provider called Akamai. I'm looking at switching over to them, just waiting on their sales rep to get back to me (been waiting a week!).
