Looking For Statistics On Relevance

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi Everybody,

I'm looking for statistics that demonstrate the conversion lift relevance and personalization in marketing communications get. Can you point me to the best place to find it?

I'm also looking for any statistics that prove consumers respond favorably to relevant messaging.

Thanks for your help.

Try Marketing Sherpa, www.marketingsherpa.com Some parts are free, most of the good stuff is not. They have almost every study that could matter to a marketer. In the end though, you will have to determine what is relevant to your audience and then the exact lift can be calculated through testing and experimentation - you know the old saying, "your mileage may vary." Good luck.

    Dear cbarto,

    Try here:

    www.kriskiler.com/email_marketing_statistics.html#relevance

But consider this: relevance alone isn't enough.

Messages must be worthy of remarks to other people, so that they become remarkable.

Messages must offer significance, so that they stand out in the prospect's mind.

    messages must also be compelling.

Are statistics that prove that consumers respond favorably to relevant messaging necessary? No. just ask people what they want, then make sure you deliver it. This means asking lots of great questions and then listening to and acting on the answers.

Perhaps what you really need here are years of knowledge that proves it to you.

I suggest you read any books you can get your hands on by Roy H. Williams, AKA, "The Wizard of Ads".

I hope this helps. Good luck.
