Contractual, Freelance, Projects.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Can anyone please let me know where to find freelance, contractual projects that may be advertised online or even offline how to get about it? I been freelancing for past 2.5 years whilst studying at uni and I am due to complete soon. I want to go fulltime freelancing, how do I get myself busy? I am working on my portfolio currently.

I'd probably try to contact a range of potential clients in your area and present your work to them, discuss how you can help them, how you're different from all the other freelancers in the area, etc. Once you're on their radar screens then you have a chance to be selected for a future project. And if you don't get that first chance, there's no way to earn a second chance.

    Dear usmanj,

Contacting agencies may not help you that much because you'll be shooting in the dark.

As well as www.elance.com, www.guru.com, and www.99designs.com, I'd suggest you use Facebook's "Groups" search functions and that you join as many groups connected to your freelancing skills as possible.

Post links and drive traffic to your website or blog and make as many connections as possible. Do the same with Twitter and its "Lists" function.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
