Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am an MBA graduate from a renowned US University. I am looking for recruiters who specialize in placing international students in marketing jobs. Can someone please suggest me possible leads?

Thank you for your help.

Most recruiters at your level are local to a geography, and focused on particular spaces (industries). What geography and space are you looking for?

Truthfully, in a tough economy such as we have now, you likely would be better off going after companies of interest, rather than looking to work through recruiters. Recruiters are looking to fill spots with exact matches - x years experience in a space, x years experiences in a certain title position, and x degree. We know you have the degree, but do you have the years in a title and space? Without those, recruiters probably won't even talk to you.

Probably better to approach companies direct, as they aren't as ruthless (still can be ruthless, but often not as bad).

Recruiters don't usually specialize in placing a certain kind of candidate anywhere. They are hired by client companies to find people with the talents and skills to do a specific job.

If you're looking for a job, you need to find a company where the most important need is precisely what you do best. Don't waste your time trying to locate a recruiter who will do the work for you.
