Email Marketing

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I'm setting up several large email groups (100 + contacts per)that I will need to email marketing materials to on a regular basis. Obviously, Outlook is not the best program for this. What is the best program to perform this function that won't give me positive points on Spam detecting filters. BTW, I am not a spammer, this will be going to our customers and prospects that are expecting the email.

If you already have built the lists, every outside email service provider I've looked into will make you opt them all back in again before they let you use their system.

I went through this a little over a year ago. I decided to install email marketing software on our hosting servers to control our own emailings. I would never go back now. It's a little more expensive up front, but it's a money saver over time, especially if you do more than 4 emailings a month.

As far as spam filters, it's more of what the content of the email is from my experience. You need to remind people to put you on their safe list so you are not filtered.

Check this page https://www.nmoa.org/Contacts/emailmarketing.htm for some emailing service providers.

From a perspective of 20 years in the CRM business, for 100+ mailings, each personalised, get your CRM system to do them, either one by one through your email client (Outlook will do fine) or through a SMTP server (That’s free software)

I can’t see the point in investing in a CRM system and then not using a key feature when it is to your benefit. If your CRM system will not currently do this either get it configured or upgrade. If you don’t have a CRM system which works, join 80% of the population but this time, do something about it!
