Know-How Exchange : Career/Training

There is no way we can give you useful advice on this. It's your life and your career, not ours. And you know the pros and cons of each one better than we do.

My suggestion: Follow your gut. This is the kind of thing your intuition can decide much better than any logic we can bring to the party.

Sorry there's no easy answer. Actually there is ... but most people -- especially engineers -- are not comfortable trusting their intuition. (I was trained as an engineer too, but I've seen the light and been born again as a marketer!)

Look at the work each of the company has done for the past year. What personally excites you? After interviewing, what upcoming projects excite you? Based on their revenue numbers, which are likely to be in business in a year?

I personally like the idea of selling in the small IT firm. Selling will put you on the front lines where the action is and more importantly, where you have better opportunity to scout out other opportunities.

But, I also agree with my colleagues Michael and Jay... it really does depend on your own interests and the future opportunies of the companies described.

Is hard for everyone to help you to decide... But make sure you know :

- How far can you go
- What you want
- What is the achievement you can achieve if you are there (set a goal)
- How can you help the company product base on your interest (this will help you to build your strength)
- Is this one of your interest or just because you want to be there
