Play Therapist Looking For Tagline Feedback.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I'm a professional counselor working on a business card to use in marketing my private practice work doing play therapy to help shy children to become more confident and outgoing by learning to make decisions, accept the consequences of those decisions and to express their choices while respecting the boundaries of others. These are basic skills that assist children in developing into successful students and leaders. These are basic advantages that have been found in to occur in the happiest business people.
So, the photo on the front of the card has a elementary age girl raising her hand confidently and smiling. The tagline reads: Give your child the happiness advantage.
Followed by my basic name, title, etc.
On the back of the card it has a photo of myself with a caption that reads: Teaching leadership through play.

I'm looking for feedback... Is the message understandable enough to get people to respond?

I've had very good success with helping young children who are shy become confident and happier in couple months through this technique and want to market the service using my referral network. This card would be something they could give to a potential referral to enable the referral to contact me.

As you mentioned in your initial question, the key benefit you're offering children's parents is "Success Skills". You're helping children succeed - in life, in relationship, in community, and in business. Likewise, your tagline should be success-based, not leadership based ("Teaching success through play").

The visual treatment and the line does sound direct, and hence achieves the objective. Of course the confidence leads to happiness angle can be looked at.

On the other hand, teaching leadership through play can be 'sentenced' than just being a line. Something like a quote unquote style and elaborate twitter style on what exactly you do, or what happens etc.
