Communication Strategy For Social Media

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello out there,

I am student and have to write a communication plan taking social media into consideration to promote and raise the awareness of a fictitious mobile tariff via social media.

So the question is how to design a communication strategy and what is social media compared to traditional media from a communication perspective.

Which communication model (AIDA??) is valid for social media or social networks? And does the nature of the product (here mobile service) plays a major role?

So what communication tool I could identify to raise network users awareness and how could I develop a strategy? (is banner ad and WOM the only choice?)

Is there any research existing describing the consumer purchase behaviour for mobile tariffs or the effect of social media on purchase behaviours?

I would be very happy if somebody could guide me to some ideas and structure how I could approach this problem so that I can develop a communication strategy promoting this fictitious mobile tariff via social media.

Thanks in advance for any valuable hint !

We don't do student's homework (see guideline #5: https://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/guidelines.asp), but we can help guide you if you share your thinking/work-to-date.

In general, to create a strategy you need to understand: who your target market is, how to reach them, the problem they have, and how your solution solves them uniquely.

And I'm wondering if would be beneficial to include a real world case on your paper in addition to Jay's superb advice ...
