Ideas For Marketing Online Training Courses

Posted by KathyAd on 125 Points
Does anyone have ideas on how to marketing online training courses? We are trying to generate leads. For the most part, our leads come from email blasts (sent to both the house list and rented lists). My company has a Facebook page, we are a group on LinkedIn, and we're also on Twitter. Since the courses are online, it is fine if the leads are international. Our target market is IT people.

Hi, not sure if this will work but there are some IT discussion groups out there. You might want to see if they allow promotions on the site from members. One that I know of is https://www.daniweb.com/ Hope it helps.

Are you offering certification or general-education for IT people? How does your online training differ from your competition? Have you surveyed your past graduates to see what they think? Have you provided an affiliate bonus to them (for referrals)? You don't really want more leads - you want more sales. Focus on who purchased from you already, and figure out how to reach more of these people.

Are you closing a high percentage of the leads you get? If not, you should probably look at the landing path/experience to see what you can do to improve conversions.

You said you are "a group on LinkedIn". Your course may apply to members of many groups, and most will allow a single posting in the proper section of the group, such as the events or calendar section.
