Ideas For The Name Of My Salon Concept

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
hi all,

am opening a hairdressing salon, will have a make-up specialist, nail designer, stylish clothes for sale, and a bar area serving sushi. possibly also a dj.

the concept is to have a really trendy atmosphere where customers can come and have head to toe style consultations all under one roof, also being able to spend the whole day in a cool environment. also weekends we will be open till midnight with louder music and serving alcoholic beverages so people can come and sit in our bar have a few drinks get their hair done with friends then go out partying.

i need something that kind of brings all this together :-) have been going over it for ages now and don't seem to come up with anything original and to the point.

i like one word names alot but all the good ones such as pamper me and so on are ofcourse already taken :-)

i would appreciate any help you guys could offer.

thanks

Interesting... Never heard of anything quite like it so you might be on to something...

    Here's a few ideas

    The Cool Room
    Ready, Set, Go Out!
    The Hair Foundation
    Ministry of Looks
    Ministry of Cool
    Good to Go
    The Launch Pad

    Hope that helps.

I had wanted, for a long time, in college, to open a salon that catered to head to toe service - literally.

From hair dressing, to the gown or outfit, to the pedicure manicure, and off for a drink, before being whisked away in a limo to your destination (prevents drunk drivers). At the time, I was planning on calling it The Pink Martini.

Since then, I've changed, but I like that you've got a lot of the same ideas I did at the time.

However, being a sushi eating fanatic, I have a few questions.
    A) how do you plan to separate people, from the food area, since most restaurants won't allow loose hair by the food prep? A wall to separate the two? Is this the best combination of tastes as well? How many sushi eating people are in your area, or perhaps wanting a service like this?

    B) Sushi is not exactly the EASIEST to eat while getting hair and nails and pedicure and such. It's quite messy in fact. Would you do a consultation (while eating sushi), then go in for your appointment, or request that people do one then the other?

Ok, now back to the name session going on here (cause I'm done asking insane questions that don't have to do with the name, but with the overall idea instead..but I digress)

A lot of places here have the sushi trains (which I think are adorable) and some have boats. Some places are traditional named over here (kinjo, shiso, family names), where as other places are location based (richmond sushi house, etc)..

    So perhaps a blend.

Sakura Salon (sakura is a pink flower blossom of the cherry tree, very pretty an omen of good fortune and is also an emblem of love, affection and represents spring.)

Midori Make-overs (midori means green, and perhaps, could reflect a green or eco-friendly style)

If you don't like the japanese blend, then go with something basic. Out here we have places like Sushi Sushi or Sushi Ichiban. I believe Ichiban means number one, or best.
    So what about,

    Salon Salon..
Ichiban Salon (though it sounds like ichiban soup to me..mmm)

Sometimes ridiculous works. It sticks in the brain as well.
