The main difference is the end sale to the buyer. B2C requires a way for the consumer to get the product, often a retail location. B2B often does through catalogs or direct sales to the business.

Take a computer purchase. A consumer generally goes to the retailer and checks out computers, and buys one off the shelf. A business will often pull out a catalog or otherwise order one from the manufacturer directly or from an authorized wholesaler.
