Dissertation Help

Hi I am a post graduate student and currently confused about the topic to take for my dissertation.
I want to write my dissertation topic on the sportswear industry. I am interested to choose a topic related to one-to-one marketing. I want to make a dissertation about how a company can implement such a marketing program, built relationship with customers and communicate one to one. I am a bit confused about what topic should I chose. Can you suggest me some related topics and structure?
If you could help me modify this topic into a better topic or give me some help with it ill be glad.

    Well, an example outside of sportswear is Amazon.com. Every time I go to the site, it gives me suggestions of what I may want based on what I have bought before. I don' get that when I go to other book stores.

    To implement, it takes a lot of computer hardware and software. This isn't always something that a company can do.

    On the other hand, a small mom and pop store does provide a version of one-to-one marketing. If you live in a small town and there is only one store, the folks at that store probably know what you like and can order items that they think you will want.
