Direct Mail Marketing

Hi,

I am doing some research on direct mail marketing, specifically the use of postcards in trafficking consumers to websites. I was wondering if anyone knew the names of some major companies that use postcards to generate website traffic.

I agree with the comment above, especially about having a reason to send them to the web site (beyond trying to get hit count up).

I wasn't able to think of anyone who used post cards with the goal of getting people to the web. Usually, post card are used with another goal in mind (purchase, come to a store, etc.), and the web would be listed as a way that people can get more information to help them make the decision of whether they want to take the action or not. So the web isn't the goal of the post card, but something to help the post card achieve it's goal.

Usually, if you want to get people to a web site as the primary goal, it is more efficient to use online marketing. Get the people while they are already online and only need to click a link in order to reach your goal.
