What Does A Email Marketing Executive Do?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am about to get into marketing (digitally hopefully) and have come across two job. One is email marketing for a hotel and another is CRM executive. As I am new into marketing I just wanted to know what both jobs would involve.

I have asked the company but what they have given is a bit vague. I need to know before I continue in the recruitment process.

Thanks

if I were in your situation, I would go to www.monster.com and I would search for listings for these sorts of jobs. You can probably find quite a number of very detailed position descriptions.

You might want to be a little bit careful about asking potential employers about what the job entails. If I were a potential employer, I would be much more interested in interviewing and selecting and hiring an employee who already have the technical skills and knowledge and background to do the job.

I believe you can overcome your lack of real world experience by conducting extensive research on the job description as you understand it and on the company you are interviewing with. I would suggest that you prepare a list of well researched intelligent questions to ask during the interview process. Good luck.

    Here is some info:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_marketing
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Customer_relationship_management

The managers of each would be the ones who run these processes.

In general, you will find that many companies will use the same titles but have very different duties required of the people with those titles. So I think it is a fair question to the potential company to ask how specifically they plan to use the person. Of course, Telemoxie is right that they want experience and knowledge, so it is a fine line between asking the differences between how different companies work and asking for details as if you don't know.
