Internal Environment Of A Business

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi guys, I am currently writing a report where i need to analyse the internal and external environments for a company of my choice. I have analysed the companies external environments thoroughly using porters 5 forces and PESTLE analysis.
What I am stuck on is the internal environment, what tools can I use to analyse the companies internal environment, the company in question by the way is BP.

Thanks!

P.S also, anyone have an idea on how I should structure a 'Report'? I currently have it structured using headings such as 'introduction' 'Porters 5 forces' and sub headings for each force etc... Is this correct structure or should I remove the headings? And should my english be formal or informal?

Well i am not really sure about what tools you could use - i was thinking maybe a SWOT analysis (but maybe that includes both internal and external factors).

    Internally you could look at
Human resources and the strategy of the org.
    Physical resources
    Financial
Intellectual capital (though that can be part of HR as well. i think)

Also, the mission, vision, long term goals and objectives.

but you can look stuff up on this link:

    For your report:

    Introduction -
then you have another heading saying external analysis and then you put in PESTLE and Porters.

Internal Analysis and then the sub headings.

Report should be in a formal and third person tone. Don't use 'I', 'me' etc. if you know what i mean
