Need Ideas/advice On Marketing A New Restaurant

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi I am a student currently completing work experience for my degree and I have been tasked with writing a marketing plan for a new restaurant that has not yet opened.

It will be an Asian Fusion restaurant opening up in the center of town with a great quality chef and front of house team. The feel of the restaurant is one of simple, designer, classy and fresh targeting young professionals with mid range pricing (think double food court prices for asian food).

A key customer segment is the hospitality workers where the restaurant will stay open late for them to eat after their shifts. I have little experience or knowledge of the hospitality industry and am looking for ideas and advice on how to cater to this market specifically. Such as

The channels to use to market to these people?
What types of promotions they would be attracted to?
What type of tactics to avoid?
Things they would or wouldn't like when eating at a restaurant?

I understand that these people are in the industry all day and so will see through the everyday ploys commonly used in restaurants. Any help on how to target these people and create an environment they would enjoy and appreciate after work would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

how about creating a partnership program with high-end hotels in the area, offering special prices, free delivery or some sort of promotion to its employees?

How should you reach these young professionals? if you look at the idea I mentioned above, you should consider approaching first to management offering the program. Just an idea.

    Good luck!
