Mba Thesis - Market Oriented Companies

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Hello
I am about to start my thesis for my MBA and I've been thinking in the following topic - Market oriented company: Kitchen companies case study.

I was thinking to analyze if theses companies are really customer oriented. I would do the research with some local companies.
I would appreciate your help on how to work this topic.

Thanks in advance

Why kitchen companies? Do you mean kitchen appliances? Where is local for you?

I'm not sure how you will be able to determine "really customer oriented." How are you planning to conduct your research? What is the value you think you can add to marketing understanding?

    Thanks for your interest.

These companies sells kitchens and appliances. Why? I worked in the area and I found these kind of business need to be really focused in the customers because it is not the kind of thing people buy everyday. The buying process takes much time. Companies claim to be customer oriented but aren't able to convert contacts into clients.

I found out there are some studies on measuring the market orientation like the Narver and Slater Scale and the Khole Scale. I actually don't know if I am able to apply them.

By local I meant some companies in the south of Portugal.
