Is It Possible For A Dissertation On Disney?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am an Advertising and Marketing Communications student and am starting to research into my Dissertation. I really, really want to write about Disney as I have a passion for the huge global brand.
However, I am not sure which direction to take - as in should I write about how the brand has grown through generations by being a multi-faceted brand or something about how the brand has such loyalty and why? I need a main point to begin with which is what I can't decide so any input would be greatly appreciated!

    Dear gsejones,

    Flip a coin.

Do a "best of three" if you have to, but just make a decision and stick to it. There's no "right" answer: follow your gut. The longer you take to decide, the harder your piece will be to write.

Branding and loyalty-wise, Disney is a gift. This means your report can be both. Think about it: without a brand there's no loyalty, without loyalty, there's no sense of a brand.

Here, each element is about community, it's about a sense of belonging, and it's about making magic and suspending disbelief and the woes of the world to get back to the good old mercantile family values of Main Street America.

    I hope this helps.

    Gary,

Thanks for your reply, I am hoping I will find my final question/topic by the end of next week - I will be sure to stick to it. I am just not sure if Disney's brand loyalty as a sole aspect is enough to write a really in depth piece of work on? Maybe I could research links which could tie into it?
