Everyone in the company must be aware of how important corporate reputation is. Top/Senior Management must buy in to the type of reputation the company desires to meet its brand objectives.
A crisis management team is crucial - this team should be made up of senior staff members from key departments within the organisation. This team would be called upon at short notice to deal with any crisis that may arise i.e. serious negative media coverage, disaster, etc.
An annual reputation analysis research project will give a measurable for staff to achieve.
All staff training should include reputation management/public relations/corporate affairs i.e. understand the rules - only designated people are allowed to speak to media. The company must have one voice.
    Hope this helps!

Re change management and financial implications - communicating with all staff is crucial to ensure there is an overall understanding of the 'value' of reputation. Therefore you must start at the top and work down to have buy-in from all. However it is important you have one person in the company who is ultimately responsbile to ensure the brand reputation is protected i.e. external medias must be checked, along with customer market research etc. The CEO is ultimately responsible but they must have a person on the ground doing this.
The brand reputation value can also be assessed by creating different scenarios i.e. 'what ifs' to ensure there are back up plans to prevent critical brand damage.
    Good luck!
