Relationship Marketing - A Longitudinal Study

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello all,

I wanted to base my dissertation on Relationship Marketing and the internet but my tutor seemed to down the idea without real explanation.

From performing my lit review I have become fascinated with the evolution of Relationship Marketing and it was suggested I look at performing a longitudinal study to compare the changes of this over time...does this sound like a good basis for a dissertation? I wanted to use the current company I work for now as a case study (an Orthopaedic company, I am in charge of a surgeon facing website)

Does anyone have any advice as I am struggling.

Many many thanks,

Jade

    Dear Jade,

You can write about anything you want to. Unless you have masses of data to go through, the thing about a longitudinal study that might work against you is a lack of data collected over time.

As for relationship marketing, at its core, ALL marketing is about relationships. So why not write about the ways in which relationships are formed, supported, strengthened, and aligned?

    I hope this helps.
