    If sm tools are used internally and properly searchable they will make the KM systems of last year look 100 years old.
    with an increasingly less experienced workforce, businesses need to ensure that they "trap" as much knowledge as they can.

    There of course is a big difference between say twitter & yammer for micro blogging internally - not least is the external distractions and the data protection/ confidentiality issues

    it also will move responsibility from managing the knowledge to a different business function from current in most businesses.
