Website Button For Electronic Offerings

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We need a word or words to put on a button on our website for visitors to our page to click on that will take them to a page to sign up for an electronic offering circular, electronic newsletter, and a preference page for our e-blasts. We thought of using e-offering but because our parent company is a religious denomination it sounds like it is a church offering (money). What would you suggest that we use?

As a copywriter, I try to make button text either benefit oriented or action oriented or ideally both. So it depends on what they're getting. For example, let's say you're offering a sign up for an informative newsletter. Button text could be something like "Get Informed Now." Or "Get Started." Just think outside the box and think about what the button is supposed to do, not what it is. It could be "Sign me up." It could be "Tell me more." I also like button text that's really direct and "I" oriented. Even here as I type this response, I see the button text is "Post My Message." I like that a lot! The possibilities are literally endless. :-) I hope that helps!

Yup, I agree with benefit oriented copy... So something like:
Grow your business - Sign up now!

    Don't delay it's free!

Register now to stay in the know!

Just depends on how much room you have and what you're really offering.

Great ideas. Thanks to each of you. Sometimes we get to close to what we are doing and forget to think outside the box.

    Have a great holiday weekend!
