How Should One Prepare A Marketing Plan?

    A strategic marketing plan typically has these components:

    Situation Analysis, Conclusions, Implications (and perhaps a SWOT analysis)
    Objective(s)
    Overall Strategy and Positioning, including rationale
    Specific strategies for each element of the marketing mix: product, price, packaging, promotion, advertising, publicity, public relations, sales/distribution, service, etc.
    Rough budget levels, metrics, integration with other business elements
