    Stop.

Take time to inhale and exhale.

    Now, focus.

The theme of branding is way too wide. That's like going into a travel agent and telling the person behind the desk that you need a ticket.

Where do you want to go? What kind of climate suits you? Will you travel for business or pleasure? Will you fly, drive, take to the seas, take the train, or want to walk?

    Get the picture?

Why negatives? Success (as I responded to one of your other questions yesterday—which, by the way, I hope you read and understood and that you're now prepared to take some action on)—success is a far more positive spin in terms of the way it will read than any focus on failure. There's too much doom and gloom in the world. Why add to it?

True, you will never know how a country feels. So, focus on the people that make up the country you'll choose. Or focus on the people that want to travel TO that country. What factors drive them? What aspects excites them? Which forces push them, pull them, and shunt them left and right?

Time is against you so now is not the time to fart around. THINK. FOCUS. DECIDE. How about the success and growth of language courses such as Rosetta Stone?

    Hi Anonymous

A good topic about branding is the importance of choosing names that sound well in ALL languages.

An example. When Mitsubishi launched the 4x4 "Pajero", nobody checked is meaning in Spanish. Biiiiig mistake, because it refers to the guy that enjoys sex alone by handlng his dick. So, in all spanish-speaking countries it was renamed as "Montero" (=referred to mountains).

Have an inspiring search in the Internet if you like the subject (it is not original, but well presented can be fun and instructive). Have a look at:

Mazda also did an inspirated job when deciding to launch a car named "Laputa", that may sound nice in Japanese, but in Spanish means "The whore".

    Best regards,
