Shrinking Of Product Life Cycle

Hi,
I would like to know about the concept of "Shrinking" of PLC and its hypothesis and the actual process during the shortening of life cycle of a product.
Also want some inputs to resolve this problem.

    Hi,

    I would like to give more inputs over my question. i have gone through some examples based on shrinking of PLC like Nokia cellphones but getting confused whether all the stages in PLC get shrink or any of the stage get affected?
    for ex:- if any product is in Growth stage but not efficient to reach maturity and suddenly gets decline so is it Shrinking of that product?
    does elimination of any of the stage involved in it?
    kindly help!!!!
