Promoting Website

I have built website which I have had critiqued by the nice people on "critiqued website" section of this forum. Thanks to their help I have got the website working beautifully.

I am promoting the site through Social Media, SEO and SEM, newsletters, link building, business cards, and communities forum relevant to my technological sector. But I still need more ideas to promote my site and get more traffic to come through to the site. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to promote my site?

    Are you looking strictly for traffic or for prospective customers?
    Are you selling products or sharing information on your website?
    What makes your website not simply worth visiting once, but more importantly, worth coming back to and telling others about it?
    What does your website offer that people can't (easily) find elsewhere?

    In addition to your existing promotions, consider Pay-per-click campaigns (for example, Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads). They all work well to draw targeted customers.

    If it's more traffic you want, then pay-per-click advertising is probably the fastest, easiest way to get it.

    If it's conversions you want, then make sure your landing pages are working well. There's usually more leverage in improving the landing path experience than there is in buying more traffic.

    You can try to promote your website on a larger website that caters to the same type of users you are looking for. I help operate a website ECRD.Com ranked 41,696 by Alexa.Com and we help smaller websites by promoting them on our site with sidebar ads and banners. It helps them gain followers on twitter or facebook, which are also great sources of traffic for your website.
