Children's Cd Promotion And Sales

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
About 10 years ago I wrote and recorded 18 songs for a children's CD aimed at 4-10 year olds.
It was recorded with (well known) professional musicians, performers and sound engineers.
I then formed a trio and began performing the songs with a fantastic response.
As a "group" we were in the final stages of signing up with the managers of Crowded House - when one of the the trio left suddenly due to personal reasons. Sadly, the whole project was put into a bottom drawer.
I am now 53 and do not wish to perform any more but I would like to somehow promote and sell the CD either on something like itunes or have some new "troupe" use the material.
The songs have always had an amazing response with all children and their parents! They love the music AND the humour and always ask "Why hasn't anything been done with this!!!!"
Thank you for taking the time to read this far! Sue :-)

Instead of entering the 1Million plus apps, you may want to 'issue' to childrens troupes and after show sell CD's.

Note only focusing of the key purchaser, but this allows some release control before you hit the Big Time

The Itunes idea is a great one! Also consider posting clips on YouTube and emailing and/or U.S. mail postcards to those you want to direct attention to. Radio/TV stations/gurus, contacts from educational/music programs across the country. This sounds like a possible grass roots "Gullah-Gullah Island" type of concept! Best of luck!
