Know-How Exchange : Student Questions

I'm a student currently at University of Hawaii at Manoa. I'm looking to market my club, Financial Management Association, to the general public in my university and boost overal membership rates. I'm also looking for fundraising ideas to boost profits. I've been dabbling into QR codes, designing a better website, even making a better logo. fmahawaii.org

I'm really new to marketing and I would love any suggestions given to me. What I really want is to start with small projects, things that will contribute to success in the long run and build my way up to bigger more effective marketing strategies.
