Audit Proposal

Posted by emilyellis_21 on 125 Points
I am required to conduct a marking audit proposal.

I am am unsure what information is required for the "terms of reference and scope" section.

I am studying my Deploma through distance education, and have been scouring the internet but I just keep getting more and more confussed.

Please can someone help me and explain this section? It is worth 30% of my total mark.

    Emily,

In my opinion, a marketing audit involves reviewing the overall marketing function at a given company. This would mean, but not limited to reviewing the marketing plan, and strategy, and then looking at all of the collateral material, brochures, ads, videos, website, radio commercials, staff etc. It will also include the marketing management function, and the way the marketing department functions within the company. If the company outsources marketing then it would involve reviewing the agencies and companies involved in doing the marketing for the firm for which you are doing the audit.

    I hope this helps,

    Andy

Looking back at my answer I don't think I was specific enough to answer your question.

Terms of Reference are exactly that. Terms that you will reference in your audit - essentially a glossary. Scope is everything that you plan to include in your audit.

    I hope that is clearer.

    Andy
