Have A 500k Double Optin List. Need To Monetize

We signed a deal with a celebrity whose new site produces 100,000's of hits. Many are electing to opt-in with additional email activation.

We are very sincere about privacy but really need to monetize the list. Can anyone suggest the best way to 1) rent the list, or 2) attract advertisers to place content in our outbound news?

    Hello Lozatech,

    First check your privacy policy and read what it says. If the people opt in, then the may give you to right to send them 3rd party offers. If not, then you legally cannot use their names by renting the list.

    Advertising on the site seems like the best way to go. Make a list of all potential advertisers and email them a prospectus for the site, tell the the demographics of the customers, the number hits per day/ week/ or month. Then follow up with a phone call to close the deal.

    Thanks Andy, yes we have a Privacy Policy in place and we realize we can get advertisers. We are just trying to explore the possibility of renting the list.
