I am a 29 year old director of consultancy at an environmental consultancy practice in London, UK. I have been in this position for 1 year and 3 months. It is a multi-functional position including marketing and business strategy and management. Concurrently i am studying for a professional diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM in London)
I really enjoy branding and strategy and essentially managing the marketing mix to ensure it delivers and is in line with the organisational ethos and the effect these have on customers. I also love managing people and teams, being flexible and adaptable. I am looking to become an in-house marketing manager of a B2C company.
Next year i am due to marry my American girlfriend, and want to make sure that when we move back to America i am better positioned to find a job. As an aside we are hoping to move to New York, where her family reside.
Any advice welcome.
