Hi! Need help coming up with catchy, fun, chic and memorable name for a wine tasting event to benefit a non profit organization.

Basic facts:
* afterwork mixer in uptown Charlotte, NC
* targeting business professionals
* event will be held at high end restaurant, Morton's Steakhouse
* wine tasting, plus appetizers
* attendees will be educated on fine wines
* attendees will learn more about non profit

    What KIND of non-profit?

    What's the THEME of the event?

    Who is your ideal ATTENDEE?

    What KIND of business professionals? (age, business niche, estimated income or net worth, desired level of involvement, ideal level of support, predisposition to support your cause?)

    The more you target your message and your call to action
    [you WERE going to include a call to action, weren't you?] to the ideal recipient and the things he or she feels most deeply about (starving children, abused puppies, etc.,.) the more the recipient will think of the message, and therefore, the more they will connect their desired outcome with that of your cause and ITS desired outcome.

    And for future reference, the term "catchy" needs to be struck from your vocabulary. No one buys "catchy". It does not sell, never has done, never will. RELEVANCE is the key, not catchiness.

    Thank you for the 'catchy' advice. That makes sense.

    As for answers to our questions -

    Non profit is called "Girl Talk Foundation, Inc." - a character building program for middle and high school girls. www.girltalkfoundationinc.com We aim to empower every girl to find her voice and expand her vision.

    We really don't have a theme per se other than a business casual after-work mixer. Good food, great wine, networking.

    Ideal attendee is uptown (because of location of event) young, hip, diverse professional, age 25-45, interested in giving to community but not in traditional setting.

    Since we are one of the top banking cities in the country, most of the professionals will likely come from the banking industry.

    Hope that helps...

    Thanks, PhilGrisolia - you're right need a name for event. I like "Wines and More", but any other suggestions? There's another group here who does a wine tasting called "Sip and Savor" - cute, but obviously I don't want to mimic that.

    Thanks, Jay...

    I'd prefer not to mix 'Girls' and 'wine-tasting' as the 'girls' we serve are between the ages 11 - 16 yrs old. Make sense?

    Its an adult event with proceeds to benefit Girl Talk Foundation, Inc.

    Janine,

    Not sure if you had your event yet but we've used this in the past for a veiled wine event:

    Shiraz for a Cause
