Need A Name/branding For A New Initiative

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Our new initiative of a pastoral resource centre needs a name....

For many years now our Anglican Church in Vancouver, BC has been providing food vouchers for people in need.

Since early 2011, we been offering referrals for dignity resources and started developing a database of information about existing available resources to meet basic human needs for food, housing, health and security, as well as building relationships with those providing these resources. Our vision is be a centralized place within our community where people can meet with a care advocate who will assess their needs, refer them to the appropriate resources and provide support in making connections.

By bearing witness to each person’s story, holding them in prayer and seeking to support them, we are committed to sharing God’s love and hope with the most vulnerable members of our community; to uphold them as they seek to live with the dignity that is the right of every human being.

Since many people and groups are coming together through your initiative, how about

    "Helping Hands"

    "Dignity Circle"

"The Jericho Project" (breaking down the walls separating those in need from a life of dignity)

"Our Brothers' Keepers" (accepting the responsibility for the welfare and dignity of all God's children)

    Thanks Phil,
It certainly does cover it but is probably too esoteric.

    Hi Ghost Writer,

I quite like the Jericho Project and Dignity Circle. Helping Hands and Our Brothers' Keepers have too much of a ring of charity to them (us lovely christians helping you poor unfortunates) We would like the name to reflect that this is about justice and dignity.

    Thanks

    Hi Jay

I think Ie could work on "A step closer".. A step up has an unitentional judgemental tone to it. Anglican Hub may give off vibe that if you are not Anglican you cannot participate.

    Thanks
