Solo Charity Event

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi - I am looking at raising money for a charity by training and competing in events (fun runs, cycling events and the like) over a 8 month period. The total kilometres i plan to complete will be approximately 3755kms which is the distance from my home town to Timor Leste (a country where the charity undertakes some of their work).

I am looking for a name for my 'challenge' for use on my blog and fundraising page.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What's the name of the charity?
Are you known in your region for doing long distance runs?
Are you doing this solo, or with a team?
Who specifically do you envision will be your major donors? Why?

    Thanks your responses

the name of the charity is CARE Australia - a non-religious and non-political charity which has offices on other countries also.

No - I am not known for my running or cycling - just an average working mum trying to make a difference.

At this stage I am doing this solo - although i may have friends run/ride single events with me.
I am not sure who will be my major donors at this stage - but given the profile of the area i live in (a large regional city) I think it will be local businesses and individuals - rather than multinational companies

oh, Timor Leste is 97% Catholic, so I took a shot.

Why not just use your name, or an aka such as golightly, e.g. "the golightly cares challenge"
