Let's put this another way. There is no shortage of data. What's more the problem is growing exponentially as you know. Data analysis - if you have the maths to handle it, or like me the insight - is something that every company needs.

Remember that website development needs technological abilities, and only the design side needs any insight.

Because it's your insight that has value. That is something that few people will ever have, the technical abilities can be learned by anyone anywhere. What's more the Chinese are very intelligent and have barely started on the worldwide software markets.

The problem is that I can't evaluate your levels of insight. It's when you look into their eyes and there's that flash of real intelligence. That's when you know you're on the right path - and a comment box simply doesn't do that. I hope this gives you a perspective on your thoughts.

What do you mean by become a web developer? Does this mean site design? Architecture? Usability?
    UX? Or something else?

No one here can "tell" you what you "should" do: it's your career.

Where do you want to be 3 or 5 years from now? What will it take to get to that place? What small steps will you need to take and with what frequency to achieve that goal? Is your current role meeting your needs? Is it challenging enough? Do you see yourself doing it for the next 2 years?

As a recent graduate, you have all the time in the world. Use the skill's you've acquired to plan your moves, then make those moves.
