I presume from what you are saying that you have just landed a job as the ticket conductor for a bus company. The usual procedure is for you to be paid by the shift by the bus company. Your responsibility is to take the fares and give them to your employer. Your driver is responsible for following the route and stopping at the appropriate places as well as observing traffic regulations. In a like manner, he is also paid by the shift.
