Career Guidance And Facts About Luxury Management

hello
I have recently completed engineering and looking forward to go for a PG course in luxury management.Big brands,marketing,market study,networking and meeting new people excites me. Please guide me with this field and its job prospects for a fresher with masters in luxury management. I also came across a conversation on the blog that getting into this career you need have good experience in this sector and they don't entertain freshers as i have no experience in this sector and i come from an engineering background. would this divesity be accepted? please help.

    Good experience is something that companies demand but are not always prepared to invest time in.

    An internship of some kind will help here - and you can emphasize your strengths in that you have a degree. Sure, it's not the airy-fairy open-ended Mediaeval History style of things, there has to be someone who'll recognize its potential. Your job is to find them!

    If meeting new people excites you, start meeting marketing people in your area - at conferences, at networking events, public talks, etc - and learn from them. Find a local mentor to further help you understand the "way things work" in business. Your background in some ways is irrelevant - it's what you can do for your employer that matters. Figure a way to convert your skills into a strong benefit that employers would understand.

    thanks jay and moriarty for your replies this will surely help me. could you please elaborate more on this PG program i.e masters in luxury management? i would also like to know about the exact job profiles after doing this course and its job prospects too.
