Scope For Ms In Marketing In Us

I've completed my UG and have been working in a leading IT company for the past two years. I'm willing to do an MS in Marketing in the US. I would like to know about the scope for this field.

    You have a job - are you looking at moving disciplines within that company? Or are you looking at marketing jobs in other firms? Or is this a question about marketing opportunities generally - that is to say opportunities in the marketplace for a canny marketer?

    What KIND of scope? Career-wise, education-wise? Where (geographically) are you now? Your willingness to do an MS is one thing, your ability to complete it and your value at the end of it as a prospective employee may be another. What do you offer? Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? How might your background and new degree help you AND, more importantly, how might these things help a prospective employer?
