I am a marketing automation professional with a total 5 years of experience with tools like Aprimo, Unica, Eloqua. My role has entirely been that of a functional expert/ consultant. During this period, I developed a great interest in the marketing field, and gained tids and bits of knowledge on marketing. To pursue my interest of marketing as a career path, and to gain in depth and complete knowledge, I decided to do an MBA in Marketing from a good internationally recognized university, and as a first step in the effort, I managed a GMAT score of 710.
Now the challenge I'm facing, is how do I built a strong case of clearly defined career goals, where my previous knowledge of marketing automation tools (which is more on the technical side) and the function knowledge I will acquire during the MBA degree, both will be utilized in the best and unique way. In a nutshell, what are the possible career options/paths which combine professional experience in marketing automation and formal education of marketing?
Thanks in advance to the respectable senior members of the forum. Although this does not sound like a question with high urgency, I would greatly appreciate prompt replies as I am already in the process of applying and deadlines are approaching.
