I am doing MBA and currently waiting for the Fall semester to start, i want to take marketing as a major, so i need help in selecting my majors. my university offers the following courses as marketing electives.
1. Advertising
2. Brand Management
3. Consumer Behavior
4. Customer Relationship Management
5. Global Marketing
6. Services Marketing
7. Marketing Research
8. Media Planning and Management
9. Personal selling
10. Pharmaceutical marketing
11. Sales Management
12. Retail Management

I am interested in both marketing research and advertising and media planning so i am a bit confuse as to which marketing field to choose as I am good in both developing strategies and creativity.

Also please advice which career path to follow with brief description.

* I can only take 4 electives.

    Well you've gotten the first two ;-) Nos. 1 & 7

    Well for effective advertising, you need to know who you're advertising to - so you'll need number 3 for that. To be honest, the rest are specific to a person's interest (or their hoped for employers).

    Does this help any? If not, why not - comment boxes are small spaces in which to communicate and your input is vital if this is to work well.
