Tagline For A Job Crawler

Posted by bkannan on 250 Points
I am launching a online itjobs site that will crawl / visit recruitment agencies website everyday, pull the it jobs and publish it for free. I am looking for a tagline that would be more suitable.

My initial lines were

"Get IT done!"
"Make IT simple"
"Do IT your way"

Your feedback is much appreciated

What is the one thing that makes your website special in an area that's already bitterly fought over?

That's when your tagline will become effective as it will demonstrate the very thing you're good at. Because the way you've designed your crawler - or filtered its responses - will make a big difference as to who will want to visit it. Knowing who they are, and what they need will help you define your tagline to meet their needs.

This particular area which is 'job crawler or job aggregator' is not highly competitive. There are handful sites doing it currently. They charge a fee per click at the moment. The differentiator I think is 'cost' and the focus on particular category (in this case its IT). Besides this site does not require advertiser to visit the site often because the crawler/engine does the job for them.

What's the name of your site/business/URL?

How will you make any money? What's the name of the business? What do you expect the tagline to do for you? What is it supposed to communicate, and to whom?

May I point out that the reason " 'job crawler or job aggregator' is not highly competitive" is possibly because there's not much money to be made in this niche? Who is looking for "job crawler" and why?

Why would they choose you, and how will you monetize this effectively when you've tightened the margins in an area with little in the way of profit at the best of times?

Providing a good service with a copper-bottomed guarantee is the sort of thing that will make a real difference. It'll also get a "yes-no" response from your prospects before you need to do any more thinking about your approach.

The name of the site is www.itjobs.org.uk. I expect the tagline indicate that it automatically post/pull it jobs from suitable websites. The money is made from sponsored ads.

And I'd lose the creepy spider in your logo. Makes you seem less serious. What's with the tattoo on its back?

And the powder blue color feels lightweight.

mgoodman, thanks for the feedback. This specific blue was chosen to trigger subtle emotional connection as one of the leading site in this region uses similar colour. I had reserved other colours to "call for action" elements. But of course, I can change it any time. Spider is seemed suitable to indicate that we crawl sites. Besides, I did not want that boring corporate dullness :-) and I did not have money to design a professional logo, so I quickly created it with the logo skills I had. I am sure it will soon evolve when there is enough money :-).
