The Difference Between Two Marketing Terms.

Posted by sammy.kopp on 25 Points
Hi,

For my internship I need to make a document about the marketing in the company that I do my internship in.

There are a bunch of questions that I need to answer, but about two I'm not sure what the meaning is. I mess both up.

I hope someone call tell me the difference between these two questions:

1. How is the marketing technical organization of the company/organization?

2. What does the operational organization of the company look like?

Please tell me what the difference is between a marketing technical organisation and an operational organisation. Preferably with a clear description.

Thank you in advance!

The terms used are a little confusing to me also - never heard them used before. But I will take a try.

Operations generally refers to the people involved directly with making and selling the products. The opposite of this is support positions, who are needed in the company but there work doesn't go directly toward making and selling the products. Marketing is normally considered part of operations, where finance, IT, HR, and such is support.

I would refer back to your text books to see if you can find a definition for these terms.

Question 1 needs some kind of qualifier that only you can supply. How is the marketing technical organization of the company/organization ...WHAT? Different? Bolder? Stronger? Wider? More solid?

Question 2 needs a similar modifier. What does the operational organization of the company look like? TO WHOM? Employees? Clients? Shareholders? Managers?
