How Has C2c Relationships Influenced B2c Relations

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi there,

I am a Final Year Marketing Student who is undertaking a module in Services Marketing. As I am sure that many of you are aware Relationship Marketing plays an important role in Services we all receive on a daily basis, such as Business to Business, Business to Customer and Customer to Customer. What I would like to find out from those working in industries/job sectors is how has the growth in Customer to Customer Relationships influenced Business to Customer Relationships. I hope to find both good and bad points or examples, I am thinking of the BP Oil Spill as an area where many people created Boycotts on social network sites in response to BP'S actions.

Any examples or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Chris.

    What have YOU found?

    What do YOU think?

What ideas, thoughts, opinions, gut feelings, and proof do YOU have?

Forget about B to B and B to C. Focus on PEOPLE. Focus on EXPERIENCES.

CtoC is leading businesses to monitor online conversations - so called sentiment analysis and text-analytics. Pro-actively there's the use of viral marketing as an obvious one. But there are also shills and astroturfing as negatively regarded interference in C2C conversation relationships and the use of celebrity driven comment and endorsement. Some companies have been employing so called brand evangelists to plug the brand through multiple social channels.

I agree with Saul - C2C is leading to more companies monitoring their online presence, and trying to take steps to improve their online reputation. Has also lead to the start of review businesses (like Yelp) and also to "reputation management" companies (companies that tack, and try to fix, your reputation).
