Know-How Exchange : Student Questions

Have you talked to your adviser for their thoughts? Do you know how you'll be graded? Do you know what you want to do with this information post-graduation?

I can't speak for your tutor, and they're the ones who'll be grading you after all. But do have a think about what plus size women need.

Now I stand over six feet and am as slim as a pin - I come from South Africa, and it shows. This means shopping for clothes is a matter of "if the arm's long enough buy the ruddy thing before someone else buys it". Coz that's the only choice in the entire store. One item, and that's if I'm lucky. You can imagine my motley wardrobe ... perhaps it's where my imagination came from!?

What aspects will you be approaching and why? What does you tutor consider useful?

I would suggest you start with some basic fact finding to give yourself the information you need to start your dissertation. perhaps you could conduct a focus group to see how plus size women perceive the advertising that is targeted toward them.

I would use model mayhem and search for tall and plus sized women. Provide them some simple survey questions that relate to your thesis. Compile the data and review it with your advisor as part of your outline and draft. This should provide a good start.
