A Tagline Needed For An Executive Guest Ranch

Posted by jksiess on 250 Points
Greetings! I am looking for a tagline for an executive guest ranch in Nevada. Red's Ranch is a private home opened to companies and their executives for retreats, dinners, team building, and board meetings. We have ten western themed rooms with en suite bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a lovely country setting. We want to be welcoming yet still exclusive, which has been the greatest difficulty! I am in the midst of rebuilding the website, which can be found at redsranch.com. Thank you for any ideas you might have!

From your website: "An Oasis In The Nevada Desert"
    Or, "Executive Luxury Lodging"

Where do most of your guests/clients see your advertising today? How do they find you? Why do they select Red's Ranch (instead of another alternative)?

I'm particularly interested in who the primary target audience is/should be. The more focused and targeted we can be, the better the communication potential of a tagline. It seems you have multiple audiences, and it's hard to set priorities without some sense of your current business/experience.

You may want multiple landing pages, and they can each have a slightly different message/tagline so they are all more meaningful to their respective audiences.

Thank you for the comments and questions. The majority of our clients are executives from our local mining companies. They hold retreats and meetings at the ranch. We are focusing on business people who want to rent the entire house for such purposes.

The issue for an audience of business meetings/retreats may be how easy/hard the travel will be. Easy for local companies.

How will you reach out to an audience that isn't so local? Do you have a marketing plan? A list of target companies? The issue may not be so much the website or the tagline as media placement, lead generation, sales qualification and follow-up process.

Local companies are easy. Minimal travel, familiarity, proximity, social contacts, word-of-mouth referrals, etc. How will you reach clients who are not so local?

Yes, we have all that in the works. Before the current group bought the ranch, it operated as such very successfully for many years. We are taking the things the previous owner did right and expanding on them. The tagline is of more importance to help the owners solidify what they are selling, sort of the cap on all the rest we are doing.

Thinking of executives stuck behind desks all day -

    The great escape
    Escape into the wide west
Let go and enjoy the countryside
The Ranch, the country, the activities.

    What do you think?

OK. So let's focus on the target audience. Where are they? What kinds of companies do they represent? How do they make decisions about where/when to have retreats/off-site meetings? How do they compile a short list of possible locations? How do they evaluate their options? What criteria are most important to them? How far are they willing to travel?

You probably have these answers already, but we don't ... and they are critical to coming up with a great tagline.

Good questions! Target audience is in Northern Nevada. Mostly mining (gold and copper) companies. They decide pretty much off of what is available for their needs and close (we are one of the very few places). They look for comfortable spaces and trying to get away from always using the casinos, we offer an escape from the general conference rooms of casinos. Most of our audience are traveling from 1 to 4 hours to get to us. Hope that helps!
